GET INVOLVED

Apart from buying posters and radio, there are other ways you can get involved with the campaign.

DIY media – Visit our downloads page to print the poster yourself – for free! This resource is available now. Alternatively download the jpeg or pdf and take it to a local print shop. Then create your own campaign using church and other local notice boards, and house or shop windows. You can also use the image to create an ad in your church magazine or newsletter... and maybe even in your local paper. A great project for your youth group.

Online media – Use the downloads resources to place the poster image on your church website and other local websites. Encourage church members to attach a lo-res image to their emails and include it on their Facebook pages and other social media. Another great project for your youth group.

Local PR – Last year, an enterprising vicar in Kirkheaton, Huddersfield, created a terrific press story around his church's poster. Send your local papers the poster jpegs in October or November and a photo of it on the bus shelter in December.

Christmas cards and church service invitations – You can use the poster image on our downloads page to create these yourself, or you can visit the CPO website where you can select and buy from a range of materials on the theme of "Christmas Starts with Christ".

Worship materials – Later in the year you'll be able to download resources (including our radio commercials) from our downloads page for use in church services. Last year, a number of churches told us that they used these very successfully as part of their worship.

Get in the picture – In a parallel initiative, the Baptist Union is encouraging all churches to help people "Get in the picture" by staging interactive nativities in shopping centres. Visit getinthepicture.co.uk for more details.
